Marriage not on the Cards for Kournikova

Former tennis beauty Anna Kournikova and her Latin pop singer partner Enrique Iglesias have no plans of getting hitched at the moment, according to the pop star himself.

Speaking at an interview with an entertainment magazine, Enrique was quite open about his relationship with his partner of almost 10 years now, stating that they are quite happy with things as they are now, adding that they have not made any plans for marriage any time soon.

It was only a few months back that rumors about an impending marriage between the pair spread like virus in the social media circles and tabloid newspapers, some of which even claimed that Anna Kournikova might be pregnant with the first child of the couple.

These rumors stemmed from the time when the two were holidaying on a yacht and several of the paparazzi claimed that the former tennis player had quite a visible baby bump. Suddenly the tennis betting markets had started concentrating on whether Anna was pregnant or not?!

The rumors gathered even more steam when Kournikova decided to put her villa for sale for $ 5 million, sparking rumors that the pair was looking to move into a bigger house in order to provide ample open spaces for a child, but nothing came of that news any further, in spite of the villa being sold to an unnamed buyer.

But now, it seems that there was actually no base to those rumors at all with Enrique stating that both he and Anna are busy at the moment with their own engagements, and the chances of seeing the couple getting married in the next two years at least are quite slim.

He did, however, mention that they have talked about children but added that both he and Anna Kournikova would prefer having children after settling down than now, when they are so busy with their professional engagements.

According to the latest odds on US Open, Kournikova has a slim chance of winning the mixed-doubles title.
